i go every Monday with my husbands best suit , then on payday Friday i get it back out again! Please don`t mock it is the only way we can afford to get out at all and feed our 10 offspring. Interesting to know in a survey how many folk have to resort to this. thankyou . Don`t be shy ,no one knows who you really are.

I personally have never pawned anything, I have bought some things. You can sometimes get nice things there for cheap. My brother on the other hand has used it to get money to feed his baby girl in the past when things got tough. Thankfully they are no longer in that boat...but they are a very nice thing for people who need the money, as long as they can get them back before their time period expires.

OK. You've been reading Angela's Ashes again.
To answer your question, I have used pawn shops in the past. When a cheque hadn't cleared as quickly as I hoped.
I didn't have to pay any interest as the item was redeemed the following day.

I had my girlfriend pawn my guitar once to bail me out of jail. I went and got it back though. There's nothing wrong with pawn shops, except that they sell lots of things at a price very near to new. You have to bicker with them or most will try to rob you.
