go to the link above. they have movie auditions for all over America...

getting into acting is not easy at all. its extremely competitive and in most cases, you have to have a resume, headshots, and experience in order to make it. don't let that discourage you though, there are a lot of people who get discovered by agents by just walking into a store!
talk to your parents and just let them knowhow much this means to you. they should support you in your dreams. show them the information on how to get started and see what they say. below are links ot different casting/talent agencies. whatever chance you get to act in plays for school, you should take it and get your mom to make a resume for you. send you head shots and resumes to the talent agencies. then you will get an idea of how all of this works.

i did some modeling and acting as a kid but i never really wanted to pursue anything major. i did some catalogue work and i got into it by doing the things i listed above. sooooo good luck!!! its not easy, but if its what you truly want i am sure you can make it happen.

*** don't be discouraged by the people telling you its impossible, either. it is very possible to be on the disney channel and you DON'T have to be rich and you DON'T have to live in LA or NY. I lived in Florida for a little while and whenever i had catalogue work, i just flew to wherever i had to go, which was usually miami or NY. there are plenty of talet agencies who may take you in. even though getting a job for disney is very competitive and demanding, you do have a chance.

You are one of literally millions of kids your age that feel exactly the same as you. I curse Disney Channel for that because they are making all of you want something that is impossible for most of you. My father didn't want me to be an actor and was not really proud of me until I became a PhD. Sadly, he did not live to see me act in movies. But when I was just out of college, he did agree to send me to an acting school in California which I chickened out on and became a teacher and delayed my becoming an actor for 20 years! Now, the only way you can get your parents' support for your becoming an actor(something you really need) is to be in school plays and be so good at it that eveyone tells them how good you are and that you should be on tv. Well, that's about it, Mandy, you will never be on Disney Channel because it takes too long to become a good actor and by the time you are good enough, everything on Disney will have changed and you will have changed. Best wishes, Doc

To be an actress you've got to have acting talent. But, not because we like to become somebody, we should come to be. I have good hands, I used to draw a lot and I even won 1st or 2nd prizes in national on-the-spot drawing contests in my younger days. With so much liking in the arts, I became an architect and practiced the profession for 12 years. Ask me what I am now for the last 24 years... I am now a professional astrologer/ feng shui practictioner!

I believe that if you are to be an actress, you will be one. Someone will discover you or an event will lead you to it.

Check with local theaters. Not just in your town, but towns nearby. Just go, ask questions, find out when their next plays start. If you are still in school, get into the theater class if there is one, a theater club if there is one. If you're serious, check into colleges that have theater programs. It's not as easy as calling up Disney. It takes time and training and perseverance.

Get started acting in ur town and then ppl will see ur talent and u can go to bigger cities. Just to tell u u might not become a huge star. Only like 1 in a HUGE group will make it. If u put ur mind into it u will do great

First, join a local play or something. You have to continue acting because otherwise you'll get out of practice. Do your school plays and join an improv class. There are tons of talent agencies that need people who aren't just from New York or Los Angeles. Good luck. I'll look out for you on Wizards of Waverly Place or something.

I'm not a producer, but I have a couch. "Act" interested!

JUST KIDDING ;-)

You say you want to "make it big". Most actors don't. Along the way you may have to "make it small".

I was an awesome actor in high school, and my school mate fellow actor really became a movie actor (never the lead "star"); but I would not even dare try, going into the newspaper business instead.

This is a very difficult path to take!

I happen to have famous relatives who are "very" successful in show biz (you would probably know a couple names if I gave them), but they couldn't even help me.

If I can't help you, I'm sure you won't find any Yahoo offering you a contract.

Just don't fall for the "casting couch". Even if he is a producer, he'll use you and laugh!!!

you have a great dream, but you are getting way to ahead of yourself. do you know how many people want to be actors?
you're not just going to go to an audition and book a lead roll on your first day.
you need to take acting lessons before anything. don't go on any auditions before you are totally prepared. a few classes doesn't count as totally prepared.

I feel the EXACT same way as you! Just tell your parents how you feel about it and try to find online places to audition for shows or try to get an agent. you have to send in your photo and resume for both auditions and when getting an agent.
