I am withholding judgment for the time being; however, if he continues to act like a total jerk who wants to respect that?
I'm surprised that the WW (Vince in particular) hasn't had a word to two at him.
If he is being a heel outside of the ring, maybe that is where he wants his character to go. I'm not saying it is right; just putting it out there.

Batista hasnt really earned peoples respect. Guys like Triple H,Undertaker,Edge, guys that have been in the business for years and would do anything for it.So to answer your question,no and it will take a few more years before he is basically eligible to earn peoples respect

I personally feel he is over rated as a wrestler. He does not show much sckill on the mic or in the ring (unless someone of the Undertaker's Claiber is Guiding him).

i have always disliked batista.
gets so much respect just cos hes a body builder and has big muscles even though he doesnt have much else. i dnt think he deserves to be where he is, i know he has worked harder than many other people but it is just my opinion. hes not the strongest of wrestlers, not got the best mic skills, hes got limited slow and musclebound ring skills. hes quite a good wrestler compared to 95% of what wwe has now but i dnt think he should be at top of smackdown.
i havent read his book but i guess from this question that it isnt very nice.

But I'm eager to because it seems like he's a total idiot in real life
Plus people say that he's done some bad things in his life and that he blames his past for how he acts now

I haven't read his book, yet. From what I've heard he's done some bad things. Respect needs to be earned. And everyone has their faults.

BATISTA IS A MAN....PLAIN AND SIMPLE!
MOST MEN CHEAT, ANY MAN WOULD SAY STUFF LIKE THE STUFF HE SAID ABOUT ANGIE HAVING CANCER. GO AHEAD AND LIE GUYS BUT YOU WOULD SAY IT. YOU GUYS WOULD BE WONDERING WHY SHE COULDN'T VACUUM TOO!!
