Gawd, I hope not, in the case of the Leafs, anyway. If there ever has been a team that should bring in the football rule of having the right to decline a penalty, its them. I don't get it. It doesn't seem to matter who the coach is, what style the coach brings or the talent level of the players, Leaf's power play stinks year after year.
If the powerplay is a guage of a team's confidence, then the Leafs need a truckload of Prozak.

No, I'd think it was more a barometer of how good their best players play together. It also can say that a team needs a talent infusion.
And PK is work ethic. How must a team will put out to stop the opponent from scoring.

yes because since there are so many pp these days that will cause scoring to increase, increasing # of goals, which makes a teams chances of win higher, which if you in games a teams confidence usually goes up. Same w/ pk but i think PP is more important and has great effect (good and bad) on teams confidence
