For a persuasive speech I'm doing for a communication class I decided to speak on the positive sides of procrastination. I'm not taking this too seriously (its only a 3min speech) but I was trying to find some sources (articles, journals) that supported this or gave the upsides to procrastination. Can anyone help me?

I've read articles about how being messy isn't always bad so I know there must be stuff about this out there.

Sorry, no articles, just personal examples where procrastinating turned out to be a good thing for me.

I had a 401k with a previous employer. About $10K in there. After I left the company and went to grad school, they changed their service provider for the 401k plan. I ignored their mailings regarding selecting new stock funds, so by default, they rolled my balance into a money market account.
I ignored it for about a year. Coincidentally, the market took that nose dive back in 2000. Since I was not in stocks, i didn't lose any money.

i discover that procrastination is my recommendations's way of telling me to prioritize my existence. If something appears like this is procrastinated, then in simple terms in line with possibility this is a waste of attempt to be spending time on it. in spite of the undeniable fact that, the dark component of procrastination is laziness. in case you place off mandatory events as a results of fact of procrastination, then your skill to prioritize effectively must be referred to as into question. this is a great line to decide between procrastination as filter out for pointless initiatives, and procrastination as laziness approximately reaching mandatory initiatives. individually, i discover it to be an exceptionally 2 edged sword, and function tried to advance a feeling of what incredibly desires to be completed as against what could be not on time or skipped all collectively. i'm hoping this permits.

I always wait till the last minute to get things done. I can get more done in an hour when I'm pressed to do it than I can get done in a day when I'm not.

There's a saying, "If it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would get done". I don't see what's wrong with it, as long as the situation gets done... Hope this helps.
