Many toys that are yet familiar today.
Dolls and soldier figures, bikes and tricycles and wagons, erector sets and Lincoln logs and tinker toys, books and musical instruments, and of course home made toys such as kites and rolling hoops and carved figures of animals. There was more playing together of games such as it was common to do group sing a longs and do various types of plays, sports equipment.
Food and clothes were common.
This was not some long ago in the mist of time but less than a hundred years ago.

Hand made toys were the norm in those days as was giving a woollen stocking filled with nuts, fruit (if available) and a cone of home made sweets. Consumerism was in its infancy so there was no 'I want'. I bet the children were more excited with their home made presents than today's children are with items costing hundreds of pounds.
