I am a 15 year old alto. I am trying out for Footloose tonight and need a tryout song for a strong alto voice. I am trying out for Ariel or Rusty. Any suggestions?

Try "On My Own" from Les Miserables beautiful song. It should fit in the alto range very nicely or "I Enjoy Being A Girl" from Flower and Drum Song or "Happily Ever After" from Once Upon a Mattress. I think all three are very good songs (or else I wouldn't have suggested them) I think any of them should fit nicely in your range.

I think "Whispering" from Spring Awaknieng or "Mama Who Bore Me" from Spring Awakening. They are both like Ariels voice.
