I don't really see a question here so I'll take shot at responding just for the two points: A company called Wff'n Proof made a series of games with serious, intelligent players as its target audience. As a consequence, they are hard to find. The games are Configurations, On-Sets, On-words, Propaganda, Queries 'n Theories, Quik-sane, Tri-nim, Wff and Wff 'n Proof. I know of no state tournaments.
