Right click a blank part of your desktop, click Properties, go to the settings tab and slide the small tab to make the resolution smaller. This should help.
Also, Handsome Harry's method is crap and will break the monitor because he is a dumbass.

A wide screen run at a different resolution then does a standard monitor. I going to guess that you will need to run at 1440 X 900. Right click the desktop and choose "Properties". Click the "Settings" tab and use the slider to pick the resolution that you monitor requires. If the correct resolution does not appear, try loading the software that came with you monitor.

Right click your desktop -> Properties -> Settings and change the resolution to match the specs of your monitor. Maybe 1440*900 or 1600*1050 (or something like that).
If you can't get that option then you need to update your video drivers.
If that still doesn't work you need a new video card.

what a coincidence ... we have the same size monitor. i also had that problem at first and the technician from where i bought my pc told me to change the screen resolution to 1440 x 900.
It works for me ,,, no more distorted images.
(right click on desktop then click properties then click settings ... there you will find the bar to manipulate the screen resolution to 1440 x 900)
hope that helped

Right click, select Screen Reslolution (or Properties if you still use XP) and drag the slider up to a higher resolution. Choose the one that best suits you.

Hi Rita,
Go into control panel, select display, and pick the resolution you like. Probably 1440 x 900. If you are using windows XP, just right click on your desktop, select properties, and select display. Try it out!

right click on desktop and go to properties, change the screen res to 1280 by 1024, also you may find the montor setting needs changing to 75 hertz, from 60 or 50 depending on the monitor. remember if you get a blank screen you can always press esc key to restore the old settings.

You need to increase the resolution. You do this in the control panel. appearance.
try the highest resolution your PC graphics card can provide.
I got my 22" wide-screen LCD set to 1680 x 1050 @ 32 bit.

you need to set the monitor resolution to around 1024x768
accessed thru the control panel. or right click on a blank area of your front screen, select properties and check your settings there. (advanced)
rule of thumb is, the higher the resolution the smaller the screen, but the acutance increases. (it gets sharper images)
