No Odom, No Mihm, No Problem
Wow what a game. .
They held up a comfortable double digit lead most of the game and even had a 30 point lead late in the fourth quarter
The boxscore doesn't even come close to show how dominant the Lakers were last night...well their defense mostly was. Barbosa scored like a dozen straight in the closing moments of the last quarter to cut down the lead but man it was a major butt whooopin
I know its really early I know Phoenix is tired from playing last night and Raja Bell and his ankles are sore, Barbosa is dealing with an ankle injury blah blah blah
we didn't have Odom and Mihm either so without our two key guys we played well, especially on the defensive end to beat this team.
Even tho the box score doesn't show it, Kobe really really got his teammates involved. He played primarilly SF for most of the game and set screen after screen and most of his passes led to an assist! God I wish they had a category like that
Thoughts? comments?

That was truly amazing. The Lakers outperformed the Suns and clearly were a better team. This shows that Bryant does not need to score tons of points if his teammates help him. At the end of the day, Bryant cares about winning the game. Thats what makes him one of the best players in the history of the NBA. He has 3 rings to prove it.
I am a New Yorker, a Bryant fan, but I am also a Mavericks fan.( Call me nutty) Personally I would love to see Bryant go to the East so he wont be much of a threat to my Favorite team, and he will get a chance to win the 4th ring, but it will feel strange to see Bryant wearing another team's uniform.

Wow I'm surprised that Chi-town fans were chanting Kobe Kobe, that's crazy. In all my basketball loving life I've never heard fans chanting another player. It's only the 1st 2 games. Now if Chicago was on a 15 game losing streak and no one is injured, than that's different. And what if Kobe dose get traded what well the Bulls do when he gets injured b/c everyone knows their going to suck.
Now that PHX game Wow not surprised but surprised. Hey they one 1 that's good for them! But everyone knows that in a playoff it would of been 4-1 win for the Suns

Okay if Chris "can't play" Mihm and Lamar "Injured" Odom are two of your key players something is terribly terribly wrong. This does prove that the Lakers can only beat a team if that team has played back-to-back games and probably has had just about 3 hours of sleep.

While I love the win it gets us really confused about how good this Laker team is...Was it just that phoenix played the night before and got in at 4am the reason they looked so bad? or is it that the Lakers are really that good now? Maybe a little of both? I cant wait to see which one of these it is.

Now all they have to do is make a big trade to get kobe some help and they will be fine and i have a trade right here that can help the lakers win with a good mixture of veterans and good young talent.

Yes, especially the part where D'Tony looked over to Phil and said, ''what the ***k was that?''.
3:30 remaining and the Lakers leading by 20, they call a timeout.

Fans in Chicago shouting "Kobe" are idiots. Season's just begun and they still have a top 3 seed to win. Lakers will have trouble getting anything higher than a 5th seed.

i watched that game, and man, Kobe only had 16 points. the bench had scored in the sixties, and everyone else in the 50's. this is one probable team to make the playoffs this year. it would be even better if we get the bulls trade, so we have MORE weapons in our arsenal.
