I've been on my brother's laptop, but his mouse was this square on the bottom, just below the keyboard. I just got a laptop, and my mouse doesn't work. o_o Help, please?

It's an Aspire, from Intel. I went to the website to look for technical support, but it only had e-mail support.

the touchpad (the square at the bottom) is disabled. try to lok for a function key that has a picture of a square with two rectangles below it then press the Fn key and that key (usually F9) at the same time to enable

or you can plug in a USB mouse and use that instead

I would buy a usb optical mouse--they plug into the usb port and are as cheap as $13. You should also fix the touch pad as the others above tell you how, but if you play any games, the regular type mouse is nice to have.

You have to install driver for the mouse you are using.
