The sign is really annoying me! When I play the sims 2, which is very graphical and uses the video card a lot or other games, rgb no input signal appears! I just want to know why? I have read some other answers to questions like mine but I have directx 9, the latest version and updates on my video card. sometimes my sound goes dodgy...is that something to do with it? please give me some answers because I have waited for a long time to play games on my pc. Thanks!

The thing is that I did reboot my computer, as in reload everything and the problem is still there. It's not the monitor because I got a new one a few months ago...and it's not just sims 2, there's world warcraft and other graphical games that, turn off, leave me with a black screen saying RGB no input signal. I have an ATI Radeon 9800 video card but I don't know how to see what the problem is with it. Thank you for your advise, is there anything else I could do?

Sims 2 only? The program / CD is probably corrupted. Did you verify that your graphics card is supported by these games, that's an older card?

If you have other strange problems with your PC, too:

Please re-post with a description of your specific problem, all error messages, word for word, (if applicable) and your PC make & model, components (if applicable), and operating system used.

If your machine hasn't completely given up the ghost, reboot the darn thing FIRST, then see if you can re-create the problem, taking careful notes on everything YOU DO AND SEE on the screen along the way. Write down any and all error messages you encounter and don't leave out any of the "techno-gobbledy-goop", because that's more important than anything you can say.

Then, we can try to help.

hi, RGB stands for crimson green Blue. Your reveal screen isn't getting a video sign. First, look at the back of your computer. Pull the video plug and consider the pins. The would desire to be 3 rows of them. determine none of them are bent over. at the back of the computer, look on the connector socket you in simple terms pulled the plug out of. Is there yet another like it? (15 holes, 3 rows of 5) if so and the unique does not artwork, swap the plug to the different. placed the plug back in and screw it in tight. Reboot your computer. desire this permits!
