I've been a professional paranormal investigator for almost 2 decades. What you are describing here sounds more like sleep paralysis. If these episodes come when she is drifting in between consciousness and sleep, then I would think that even more so. There is often a "heaviness" in the chest region, and usually an inability to move easily, if at all. Look it up. If it fits, then you have your answer, if not, well, only you can be the judge of that since you (or your mom) are having this experience. Good luck. Feel free to write if you have any questions. :)

Is it possible that you guys are just spooked? I've been creeped out before and every little sound seemed like it might be a ghost. If you really believe you have a ghost, call an expert. Right now there are at least 3 or 4 people out there offering big money to people who can show proof of the supernatural.. Try the Discovery Channel. If it's there, you'll be rich. If it's not, then you can stop worrying about it.

I used to see a spirit in my apartment. She was Chinese or Korean or something like that. She always stood by my coat closet standing there all quiet with her arms crossed. I once had to fix my sink in the kitchen and I found a chopstick stuck in the pipes as I was draining the water from my pipes and as soon as I removed the chopstick the spirit went away. Kind of strange that way. I was in another place and it was a 2 level townhouse and halfway up the stairwell, I saw a spirit in my house with a long black lacy dress and she was a native woman. I told her to leave my house and told her that this isn't your house anymore and the spirit left. My son used to see a little child in the closet in his room at the townhouse.

A ghost (IMO) is a person's energy that refuses to leave after the body dies. The part where it holds your mother down could be a scare tactic to make you leave. This is pretty weird stuff but I do believe in it. You should research the home to see if anyone died in or around it. Then try to research how they died . Getting rid of it is the hard part because they actually belonged there once. It is your job to convince them there is something better in the beyond.
Since I think I am half crazy for believing this stuff, I am sure others will believe you are worse, so good luck to you.

The ghost is probably feeling guilty for something it did. i have me a few people what write questions on a piece of paper and the ghosts writing back. you have to close your eyes and you may want to have a friend do the same as you. I used to live in a house that i could see ghosts of rodents running around.

thats called sleep paralysis. 'cause when u go to sleep, ur motor system shut down, so u wont dream about running, an wake up five miles from ur house!! sleep walking comes from ur motor systems not shutting off while u sleep; an sleep paralysis, comes from them not coming Back on, when u wake up. ur awake, but u cant move, an u feel a pressure on ur chest. many cultures think that witches are sitting on u, or girls with long black hair or aliens, etc. but its jus a medical condition liek sleep walking. she should talk to a Doctor, perhaps sleeping pills wud help, or he cen persribe something, gud luck! *smiles an waves then runs off* â¥
