They are a bunch of posers with no real musical talent. Gerard Way is a Billy Corgan rip off and the rest of the band has not done any thing new.

People are entitled to their own opinions....
MY opinion, is that they are amazing. People that say their the same as every other band out there today are wrong. MCR is truly reminiscent of the great legend bands....
If they would take the time to actually listen to all the songs, the lyrics, and the talent behind it all...They could see how great they are. I'm not saying they're a band for everyone. Everyone has different taste. Like Gerard has said, they are a band that people either LOOOVE or despise! Then of course, there are the fangirls. I admit, the fake fans, who are in it because they see MyChem gaining popularity, and because they think they're hot...Those are the people who nearly ruin it for me. Then theres the haters who feel like its their duty to waste their time bashing on MCR. But those 5 beautiful boys are so inspirational, so talented, so caring...I could never desert them! LONG LIVE MCR! Love em to the end!

People dislike MCR because of their lack of musical talent compared to a lot of other bands that aren't near as popular, and their fans.
Also, they rely on their looks for a lot of fans, who have no idea about music(not saying that they don't know good bands, but they are musical illiterate)but listen because everyone else does and because they think that the band members are so HAWT in their little girls pants. Did you ever see Dimebag in girls pants? Mustaine? Malstreem? These guys don't care about their looks or selling cd's, they care about the music.

in my opinion i think a lot of great bands are hated only because their label goes outta their way to make the bands "big" which someppl get tired of hearing them,
or because they just don't like their music
Evryone just has different tastes

the best way to describe is the answers i got when i asked who the hell they were a while back..the answers i got (2) stuck out in my mind.
when LOVNRCKE anwered they are a bunch of posers who are basically followed around by there fan base of yuppie teenage girls.(great answer)
and ABSOLUTZ who stated there like the backstreet boys in goth with out of tune instruments..(that was a good anology)
those answers are about as true and honest as can be..

mcr is an amazing band with great lyrics and awesome songs!!!! some people don't th way they dress and think there gothic so they won't give there music a chance or maybe they think they're "emo" (which they're not) people like who they like don't freak mcr has an amazing fan base with sold out concerts every time!!!!

they sound so much the same as every other band in there genre. most teens don't know what really good music is like Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC etc. so they listen to sucky music like MCR. i tried to give them a chance, but my ears hurt from listening to them.

i havent heard ALL of mcrs music. but iv heard a very good amount to say that i hate them. i see no uniqueness about them at all. i dont go around screaming about how much they suck to me, but i dont find any of their lyrics or appearance catchy at all. i think they are way too over ratted for the little they do. They seem unreal and too much like clones.

If you listen to some bands like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Doors, led Zeppelin, Rush, etc. you will see that MCR is NOTHING compared to those bands but their fans put them out to be musical geniuses. it's the fact that they sound pretty bad but they have massive populations of teens following them like gods.

But seriously, people are entitled to their opinions. People hate them like they hate Fall Out Boy. They get too much credit for their popularity. Some of the best bands out there aren't played on the radio. And it's more exciting to talk about them. You can't go up to some one and say "Have you heard of MCR?" like you could go up to some one and ask if they've heard a band like Vedera. Get what I'm saying?
