The problem in our country is that people who have good jobs tend to think that jobs are plentiful in this country! They also tend to think everyone has 'Health Care' just like they do! They think that those who do not have those good jobs are lazy good for nothing! Not true! My Goodness! If they would just switch places with a person with a lower paying job for just one month and see just how easy the life style is! (Sarcasm there) Maybe they would change their way of thinking. I live in a city that once had many many factories and now just a few. Now most jobs are for those with higher education,Like teachers, Lawyers, Doctors. Or in restaurants, or store clerks, and no health care! If you have a job you don't qualify for government assisted health care! As soon as the unemployment runs out you are no longer counted. The unemployment has not lowered. Most of these people are out of work because of plant closings and people rushing for those restaurant or store clerk jobs.
If you have a heart it make you want to cry!

In reality, the government has no money to invest without first taking it from people (individuals, families). Income taxes are taken from people's earnings (reducing what they have). Corporate/business taxes create lower wages and higher prices. This again, reduces what people bring home, and increases their expenses of living. I could go on, but you get my drift...
Also, people take risks that they deem appropriate. They start businesses, make investments, invent things, build things, etc. Politicians are politicians, and bureaucrats are bureaucrats. They have no idea how to magically "plan" an economy. The truth is, nobody on the planet knows what "the next big thing" is, or what new direction things will go. Contrary to what many think, the market always decides. No matter how much government involvement there is.
Detroit is a great example. The government has taxed other businesses, to give money to the autos to build "hybrid" cars, and even mandated how many of them they had to sell. Guess what? The autos are losing tons of money on these hybrids because people won't buy them. They're selling them at huge losses, and still not enough buyers. Like I said, the market always decides, so there is no reason to have the government take from Bill's business, and give it to Joe's business. No government has a magic crystal ball.
America is increasingly becoming more socialist. Yet, those who support it, while they keep getting what they want, are still the one's complaining things are getting worse. Connect the dots! European socialist countries like Germany, Spain, France, and even the UK are in deep doo-doo. The last thing America needs is to follow their footsteps into ruin.
The best thing the government can do to "invest" in people, is to simply stop taking their money. People need it more than the government does. Trust me.
And one last note: What is is. Socialism is socialism. If some folks support it, be proud and call it socialism. Why insist on calling it by a different name? If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... it's a duck.

extremely, the government has no money to take a place devoid of first taking it from human beings (persons, families). income taxes are taken from human beings's income (decreasing what they have). company/employer taxes create decrease wages and better costs. This back, reduces what human beings convey residing house, and will strengthen their costs of residing. i'd desire to pass on, yet you get my pick the flow... additionally, human beings take disadvantages that they deem proper. they start agencies, make investments, invent issues, build issues, and so on. Politicians are politicians, and bureaucrats are bureaucrats. they have not got any concept a thank you to magically "plan" an monetary equipment. the actuality is, no person contained in the worldwide is familiar with what "the subsequent super ingredient" is, or what new direction issues will pass. opposite to what many think of, the industry consistently comes to a decision. no remember how lots government involvement there is. Detroit is a great occasion. the government has taxed different agencies, to furnish money to the automobiles to construct "hybrid" automobiles, or maybe mandated how lots of them they had to sell. wager what? The automobiles are dropping numerous money on those hybrids because of the fact human beings won't purchase them. they're advertising them at huge losses, and nonetheless no longer adequate consumers. Like I reported, the industry consistently comes to a decision, so there is no reason to have the government take from bill's employer, and supply it to Joe's employer. No government has a magic crystal ball. usa of america is an increasing form of starting to be extra socialist. yet, people who help it, whilst they save getting what they %, are nonetheless the single's complaining issues are starting to be worse. connect the dots! eu socialist worldwide places like Germany, Spain, France, or maybe the united kingdom are in deep doo-doo. the final ingredient usa of america desires is to persist with their footsteps into destroy. the terrific ingredient the government can do to "make investments" in human beings, is to easily give up taking their money. human beings % it extra beneficial than the government does. have faith me. And one final observe: what's is. Socialism is socialism. If some persons help it, be proud and speak to it socialism. Why insist on calling it by using a distinctive call? If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... it extremely is a duck.

Seems people confuse what is needed for a society to function well .
Thats, food, shelter ,clothing , sanitary needs like toilets and showers and sinks and stoves to prepare food and medical care .
Since no one will pay me what I am worth I have a problem paying for it on my own .
See I can pick 360 heads of lettuce in an hour and I work ten hours a day . Thats 3600 heads .
Now i know that this lettuce needs to be rinsed and packaged and delivered to the stores .
So all i want is my fair share but do I get that . no .
I pick enough lettuce to make salads for 36,000 people a day who if they only gave me a penny would mean I would earn enough money to care for myself .
At more then a dollar a head for lettuce it is not to hard to imagine that I should earn enough money to care for my family and is a penny to much to ask from each person who eats the lettuce I work so hard to pick . 360 dollars a day translates into 72,000 a year and this is enough for me to have a home and care for my family .
So if I am not getting this money who is .
I have to love the thinking of the rich . They claim that paying only 40 dollars a day is the going rate to pick lettuce . Thats because some people are willing to do it for much less . They are willing to sleep on the ground and drink from a facet and cook meals in a pot over an open fire for weeks at a time and then cross back over the border where this money can pay for a house and food and care for a family all year on just a few months work .
I think its the stupidity of every American who does not realize his own value and does not demand better pay . This causes us as a nation to have a lower standard of living . Since the 1950s when a single income provided a home to the 1980's in which two incomes was needed to today when we have renters making two incomes and never quite able to save or get ahead .

Sure they can, but it will still be considered by the right-wing fanatics as socialism.
Anything that is best for society as a whole, is considered socialism by right-wingers.
They still have the same mentality as the royalty during the darkages that didn't want to allow the commoners to read or write.
Lets look at Universal Health Care(not socialized medicine) as an example:
Right-wingers will say the government's job is to protect. Universal health care is protection against spread of disease( a critical national security issue), but because it takes effort on part of everyone in the country to make sure this security is provided, they call it socialism.

Do you really want the federal government deciding what is best for you concerning your health care, for example? Governmental bureaucracy has proved time and again to hamper growth, choice, and for the most part, creativity. Why shouldn't you want to limit government intrusion in your life? Besides, call it by any other name and its still socialism.

The government's job is simple. To protect. Not to be your mother. The government can keep their handouts. keep in mind with them comes control. I like my independence too much. Plus its not their place to tell us what we can or can't do. It's ours to tell them how its going to be. It's "self evident many have some strange twisted logic.

America is already socialistic----for corporations. They get more charity than all the welfare mothers in the world every dreamed of. If you call welfare "something for nothing", then corporations are the biggest baddest Welfare Mothers of all time.
For the rest of us, it is capitalistic.
