Absolutely and without any difficulty. Yahoo Answers ONLY purpose is to attract and keep as many people as possible glued to their Monitor screen. Yahoo uses the numbers to set the advertising rate they charge customers the same way a magazine uses its subscription rate to charge its advertising customers.
Y/A Politics is just a piece of that puzzle. Nothing more.

I convince myself that it affords me the unique opportunity to employ my love of history, the American language, sarcasm and wit, in a mental joust with like minded, enlightened individuals on one hand, and liberals on the other.
WOW! All this introspection...I've had an epiphany!
Like Dude! For the most part, folks do this to have FUN!

I'm not aware of too many things,
but I know what I know if you know what I mean.
Philosophy is the talk on a cereal box.
Religion is the smile on a dog.
I'm not aware of too many things,
but I know what I know if you know what I mean.
Choke me in the shallow water before I get too deep.
What I am is what I am.
Are you what you are - or what?
I'm not aware of too many things,
but I know what I know if you know what I mean.
Philosophy is a walk on the slippery rocks.
Religion is a light in the fog.
I'm not aware of too many things,
but I know what I know if you know what I mean.
Choke me in the shallow water before I get too deep.
What I am is what I am.
Are you what you are - or what?
Don't let me get too deep.

EDIT** - 'Plezurgu' has given you the correct business answer . It's all about 'readers / users' and advertising rates , just like newspapers and magazines .

To vent. I don't believe for one moment I am going to change anyones mind. And mine certainly won't be changed. It's just an avenue for venting and to have some fun.
