When a girl says that, does it mean that she just doesn't want to date you? Because technically, if you're not the first guy she's dated, you're the rebound for her after someone... no matter how much time has passed.

My thoughts are she isn't ready to put herself out there yet, after being hurt before. Or she knows that you are tempting to her, and she wants to take it slow. Main point: she is vulnerable right now.
