Possible but highly unlikely. Sperm can live for a few days so if she ovulated 4-5 days after intercourse she could get pregnant. If she has a very short (less than 21 day) cycle and very long period (more than 5 day) that could happen, most women ovulate 12 to 20 days after their period starts so getting pregnant from sex in the first 5 days is not likely.
Transmission of any STD would be more likely during menstrual unprotected sex as blood, semen and genitals are all in contact so that would be a greater worry.

Possible but unlikely. This is called the 'rhythm method' of contraception - chosing times when it is unlikely to get pregnant. Sure, it lowers the chance, but it's worse than any kind of man made contraception. As my lecturer in sex health put it "I practiced the rhythm method for 10 years and now i'm the proud mother of 2".
Use some contraception or abstain, seriously.

Yes but it is unlikely.. the sperm can live for up to 5 days inside of her and so they can still be alive and well, even after she's finished her period. You should be okay but just be more careful in the future!
