During the last debate if you closed your eyes you would have thought John Kerry was trying to answer that question.

Was her answer part of the famous triangulation theory of the Clintons...be on all sides of the issues depending who your audience is? and what the polling says?

I do, she wants to give it to them but she doesn't want you to know that that is what she wants because she knows that over 70% oppose it. Do not forget that Hillary is vastly superior to the rest of us in absolutly every way imaginable so our opinions do not count and neither are we entitled to our own money since every body except her is a moron and would not know how to spend it right.

Illegal aliens isn't a priority for a state that is a thousand miles away from our most troublesome border.
Its illegals are a federal problem. Not so much a NY one.
Governor Spitzer wants illegals registered for driving so they can be found and held responsible when they get into accidents. This has nothing to do with Hillery, shes a Federal, not a state senator.
Here its a practical issue, they are here, they do drive, wouldn't it be nice if we had a way to find them once they are involved in an accident? Is it so much better to just have them drive off thumbing their nose at us. Of course not.
If you can't understand that everyone thinks that's an imperfect solution but the only one within the law allowable, then what can I tell you?
Write your president and tell him to tighten our borders and then no one, not Spitzer, not Hillary, not everyone else in these United States will have to wonder how to combat his ineffectiveness.

Open, this is the fourth time you have singled me out, get off my case already I know we don't agree. I didn't say I agreed with it either, the question was about Hillary's position not mine. I can understand it without having to agree with it.
That's what having an open mind is really about.

Last I read from her camp was that ... if each Governor feels he should do that ... than so be it... basic dodge . She had it on all flanks this week. The Boys Club spin was a beauty wasn't it?
She can not bail on her NY Democratic Governor right now. Tomorrow she may. SO far she is playing it is up to each state to decide and then goes into it should be a national debate?!
NO telling the answer to this one. Pure Hillary. She is no Bill, that's for sure!

Somehow the 'news' has left out the part that these licences will be limited in scope. They will be clearly marked so they may not be used for legal identification. That is, you may not use them to board a plane, get a loan or cash a check. What they will do is make it possible to buy auto insurance..which is mandatory in New York and most other states. If pulled over and there's no registration or insurance that driver will lose that licence and be subject to being deported. On the other hand if the driver runs you over and has insurance there's at least a chance you'll get som compensation. This is the message that gov. of New York has been trying to get out and it simply is't being picked up. Now you know, and you can check this out. If this is a limited licence I don't see a problem!

Shes would not provide a crap approximately licenses for illegals, one way or yet another. She only makes use of it as a gadget to beat up the present administration, and could say she is for or against reckoning on regardless of is expedient on the 2nd.

What is the status of immigration reform? Didn't Bush submit a bill that was defeated by the Republicans. That legislation alone may have sunk John McCains campaign for president.

Nobody, including Hillary, understands her position.

Seriously, outside of that arena, she would ask her handlers what her audience would think about it, and take their position, then change it for the next audience.

Noah...You have selective left out facts, because the news explained it well. 3 IDs for different purposes, INCLUDING legal ID and flying. If someone gets pulled over, THEY SHOULD be deported if illegal, but with these, they would not. (Do not believe the liberal lie...they are not deported NOW.) You do not see a problem...how about this one...THEY ARE HERE ILLEGALLY!!! Do not give them benefits...DEPORT THEM! When someone hires them, charge them with a crime, and impose major penalties (I suggest $25K for first offense, and $250K plus 5 years for second)

conned...No..WE WANT THEM DEPORTED!

justagrandma...again you are drinking coolaid. How does a DL make them easier to track down in an accident? They run off thumbing their noses anyway. If we know where they live, why wait for an accident. Your argument has absolutely NO BASIS in reality.

Yes, I do understand it. If you don't, it would be impossible to explain it to you. Her position on illegal immigration is a bit more complex than the simple granting of driver's licences, which makes answering a question regarding that one matter very difficult. It is a lot like asking Giulliani about abortion. He supports the law of the land while being personally opposed to the act.

It seems she is in support of the idea but doesn't think it can be done? If she were a leader and she thinks it's a good idea then she should solve the issues. She is really trying to pander to two totally opposed groups at the same time............

Yes, her position is whatever the poles tell her to think.

So depending on the where the pole that is taken, her position will change day to day.

In a red state she is against it. In a blue state such as NY she is for it.
