If you do not have physical access to the laptop, the only way to track somebody's activity with a wireless connection is if they are on a public server or a LAN Hub, (like on a college campus or an internal office network). In order to do this you would have to have either direct access or indirect security or technician access to the server in order to monitor or trace the activity of the other user. Mind you though, unless you are authorized for security or technical access, monitoring activity is illegal and is considered hacking and an invasion of privacy.
