My husband paid into unemployment until he had surgery 9/06.He is returning to work 11/07.?

What happens if he gets laid off? Will he be able to collect unemployment? What happens to the money he paid in before his surgery?

I am not aware of the employee paying into unemployment. The employer pays this. Unemployment is paid concerning the number of months/quarters you have worked and the amount of pay.
