So my boyfriend called me last night at like 2 am and he told me he heard some rumors about me that he wanted to talk about. I didn't know what anyone could say about me, him and I live 10 hours apart, I've graduated from high school, and no one that I talk to now has any connection to him.
So anyways, his best friend told him that he heard from his girlfriend that someone told her (ok ok I know drama) that I had cheated on my boyfriend before, like about half a year ago (we've been dating on and off for 2 years) and that now I'm sleeping around with guys up here at college.
None of this is true! I got really upset and I asked him who his friend's girlfriend heard it from, because I don't really know that girl either. And he said some girl with the last name Miller? I flipped out because it's one of my former friends who towards the end of the year my senior year just stopped talking to me. My boyfriend believes me, but I don't know what to do about the former friend.

The good thing is that your boyfriend doesn't believe it. But personally it would erk me that someone just put something like that out there.

I would contact her and just put it (the rumor) on the table, not necessarily accusing her but letting her know that someone said that about you. To see how she reacts. I have done that in the past and have had the person swear they don't know WHO said it. Well, needless to say, the rumor was put to rest and she knew that I knew and that I was not happy about it.

And I haven't heard from her since. So it really depends on how you feel about it. You can let it go and just move on or confront this person (carefully) to let her know you won't sit around and let someone try to ruin your relationship.

The worst that happen is that she admits it. And you ask her why, she'll give you some stupid excuse and you can move on. And you will have the satisfaction of knowing that she knows that you figured her out. Good luck!

Tcatlove,
Now, your boy friend believes you, that is a good news he trusts you. For that person spreading of rumor simply because he wants to worsen the relationship between you and your boy friend. you can ignore the matter but you also can talk to the person privately not to spread the rumor because it was completely not true and get me upset too much.

Just ignore your former friend and if she spreads another rumor talk to her and say I'll spread a rumor about you. That will scare her off.

Leave high school behind, you're in college now. Grow up.
