The UK has extraordinarily large debts to the US from WW2 which the US kindly reminded us when there is a need to invade somebody elses country for, say, oil. UK has finally become debt free to the US which also coincides with our new prime minister! I am not a big fan of Blair but maybe his hands were tied. Brown, no sooner in the big seat, than calls for our troops to be withdrawn from Iraq. Shows the man has some balls, lets hope he gets to keep them.
