You can buy printer fabric, but I always just make my own. just remember a quilt is a big project. I just taught my friend how to make one, and it took her a few months. She did the whole thing herself and it was her first sewing project.

Get white muslin, or even better, Egyptian cotton. (They sell it with the muslin) Cut it into pieces a little smaller than 8 X 11 inches, and iron pieces of freezer paper onto it. Then tape that to cardstock using one long piece of tape across the top. Don't tape the sides and bottom. Set your printer for the heaviest paper it will take, and run the material through just like regular paper. After you print, iron over the ink to set it.

Pre-treat all fabrics by using a home drycleaning sheet. Plan to clean the quilt by that method only. You can always use the jumbo dryers at the laundromat to do it.

Cut strips of material that will be used to frame the photos. Figure the width of the frame plus half an inch, assuming you are planning to use a quarter inch seam. When you plan the top and bottom of the picture frame material, remember to add in the size of the picture AND the side frames.

You can use the instructions on this page to finish the quilt. Just scroll down to "constructing the quilt".

Oops, I should have read your earlier posting! i thought it was your quilt. I'm not brave enough yet to make my own printing fabric, so personally I would buy it. Good luck.
