Superglue is dissolved by acetone, or nail polish remover. My boyfriend did that late one night when we were in college and ran to my dorm... all 10 fingers were glued to his palms! I poured nail polish remover over his hands to free them. Soap and water won't work, in fact water is an accellerant and makes superglue set faster.

Superglue is cyanoacrylic glue. Sniffing it is a bad idea... it will get you sick.

Acetone, (Nail Polish Remover), will dissolve
the superglue, but it will come off by itself in a day or so and acetone is far worse to sniff than superglue.
If he got sick from the superglue AVOID THE ACETONE.
Is he asthmatic? Definately no acetone!
