Yes, I see your point, he is a fraud to make any claims that he is doing god's work or that god will attack certain countries because of their freedom's. He is an American terrorist and would fit in well with those Al Qaeda boys in Afghanistan. He is simply a hate monger with no real values or compassion, so he doesn't fit anything related to Christian values.
I'm not embarrassed of him, he's an embarrassment of himself and all those fools that listen to anything he has to say. Hopefully this will go down Branch Davidian style with his entire congregation getting burned like the witches and servants of Satan they show themselves to be daily.

Fraud isn't quite the word I would use, but yes, he has been completely misguided. I've never heard so much hatred being spewed by a man claiming to be of God.
He doesn't speak for me, so I am not embarrassed by him. He does not believe what most Christians believe.

Home grown bin Phelps has gone beyond the line.I'm not homophobic and I won't KNOWINGLY associate with one but to lump them as the reason an "entity" is 'punishing' America is absurd.
Unlike the the Democrooks,an all knowing, seeing, being would not be a 1 issue spokesman...there is blame for all.

A fraud in what sense? You will find zealots in every religion and Mr. Phelps just happens to be the most out there one in America.
I disagree with everything he says but I will defend his right to say it.
