Big Ben, the House of Parlaiment, The Royal Family (though they have many residences outside the city also), it is the number one tourist destination, the original Hard Rock cafe (built in 1971) and fish and chips. That's what comes to mind first. Been there, and it is an expensive but fun place to visit. HAD TO EDIT: almost forgot the WARM beer. Not my favorite part of the visit.

Thames river. I loved driving on the "wrong" side of the street! I'm from the USA. And getting stuck in the "roundabouts" which I'd never seen and didn't know how to drive in before going to London.
