ok does a comma need to be here in this sentence.

As i held onto my mom one foot went infront of the other in a slightly gliding motion.

does it need to be inbetween mom and one? or should there be no comma? thanks!!!

Yes, because it seperates two independent clauses.

Yes, put a comma there. And use capital letters where they are appropriate. Inbetween is not a word. Spell checker would have told you that.

It can be either way. But since I'm so OCD, I always put a comma where you are supposed to pause...even for a little.
