We will be traveling out of state on an adventure this Christmas in our new motor home. My boy is 5 and my girl is 4...I've assured them Santa will find us where ever we are!

What would you suggest to make it an incredible time for all of us?

We live someplace warm...in SoCal. We'd really kinda like a little snow. Our RV is 42' long and has 2 furnaces.

If you want to go someplace warm, that is one advantage of having an RV in the winter. But I gather from your question that you have a specific destination in mind. If so, I would research all of the places that we will be going through - or traveling near - on the way to my destination and figure out which ones have the best holiday attractions. Then I would make a plan to take my kids to those places, allowing plenty of time to enjoy a visit. If you ask a more specific question about the routeyou're taking and the time you'll have available, you'll get better answers.

For example, will you be near any of the big theme park cities? Disney, Universal, Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags, and others often have nifty holiday themed events. You could return to nature and visit one of our national parks, seeing it in its wintertime glory. There are entire towns that decorate for Christmas that you can tour. (One just outside of Charlotte, NC, has an electric company that pays the entire town's electric bill for December, as long as the homeowners decorate for Christmas.) There are year-round Christmas shops that take it up a notch during the holiday season. And of course, if you're in a large city like NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, etc. there are numerous performances and attractions at the holidays. Just do some homework online for best results.

sounds like fun. I really dont know where you could go becuase I dont live in the US so I dunno where it snows or doesnt, but I know living in Canada that there is nothing like come cold weather and snow for Christmas. just have tons of decorations so you can all decorate the RV together, have books and crafts for the kids to do and Christmas movies for them to watch and make stops in places to do some Christmas shopping and to look at the lights. I'm sure it will be a great time.

Someplace Warm. Florida is nice around Christmas. No snow, beautiful ocean views. We bought our first RV this year and have traveled so much in it so far. Now my hubby is working in another state (Iowa) and is staying in it instead of a hotel and he is MISERABLE!
Take Care &
Have a good vacation!
