Why is NYC considering giving illegal aliens drivers license, under the guise of “at least they can learn the rules of our road…
Isn’t that like saying, “since we can’t keep firearms out of the hands of felons, I guess we need to teach them how to shoot accurately”?

Gunplumbers response can be added on to by saying that the politcians ABSOLUTELY think about these things before saying them and acting upon them. At least the democratic politicians do. Why do you think they're even considering this legislation? One reason and one reason only...VOTES! The democrats will do anything to pander to their voter base and if they can get the illegals to vote for them with their new found license/voters registration tool, they'll do it. To hell with what's right or wrong. If it equals votes, if it equals dependencey on the government, they're all for it.
I vote for changing Lady Liberty's facial look and changing it to Hillary Clinton's visage. We can then change the writing on the plaque as well...
"Give us your poor, your weak, your hungry and throw in your illegal aliens as well...line forms on the right for your license"

Nicely put and much better than I would have. Why give a drivers license to an illegal when so many of them can't read English. They won't let me print what I'd normally say here on Yahoo.

Some folks insist on drinking and driving. Perhaps they should get a special drunk driving license to allow them to do it more "safely" too.
You have to wonder if the politicians even think about these things before they say them.

Here is the dirty little secret: federal law mandates giving all license applicants a voter registration card. Do you really think the bureaucrats check? NOOOOOOO

Well I think it is ok. Because you have to admit those Mexcians and whoever else drive like maniacs so at least we'll have some hope of bettering their driving skills. Probably fewer people will die.
And another thing is that the government will have a better handle of how many illegals are out there and then as they'll have more information on them they'll be able to handle them better (like deport some of them maybe).
