ambiance is over-rated, allan.....why pay more for something you can just create in your mind?

reality --- a crowded cafeteria and you're eating just kan-on kag utan (rice & veggies)

now picture this --- a candlelit dinner with the girl of your dreams...soft, soft music in the background...girl reaching out to touch your hand...girl giving you the sweetest smile like she's having the time of her life...ah, what could be lovelier than that???

true ambiance, like all other best things in life, should be free!!!

ENJOY!

Hey Allan. Both spellings are correct.

How much would I pay for it?

My answers would vary depending on the circumstances: whether or not I am not in a hurry ( a steak meal in Melo's / Antonio's or a steak meal at Pancake House?), if I am feeling practical or feeling like on a spending spree (Pancake House or either Melo's or Antonio's).

The answers could also skew towards the practical ( damn ambiance!) when the person could not afford to pay the premium, even if they want a bit of it.

tama man ka uy, puwede ambience or ambiance, hehe...

anyway, your question reminds me of an old ERAP joke and the gist of the joke is that erap thought somebody in his entourage ordered "ambience/ambiance"...

so technically, why should i pay for ambience/ambiance? it's not in the menu, lol!!!

If it's for eating out, usually I don't want to pay for ambiance but for the food.

If it's the beach or for relaxation, then I'd be very much willing to indulge myself.

For dining? If I'm hungry I don't really care about the ambiance.

If it means being surrounded by 100 beautiful women of different races in a harem like setting, and I was to be their "master", I would be willing to pay everything i own ... i'd even throw in an arm and a leg. (literally)

I don't care what the ambiance is, as long as it's clean, safe, and affordable...

It depends on the situation.

For a loved one's birthday or for a wedding anniversary, I would pay a lot. For an everyday occation, not much.
