Porn in itself is a social sickness that has become deep-rooted since the sexual revolution. Over the decades porn became legalized with restrictions and an age limit was set to prevent corruption of the young minds. As it seems, it was decided that over 18 is a safe age to view porn, and thus selected porn was given a legal status within boundaries.
There are numerous surveys out there that clearly show that individuals who divulge in this social evil are far more from the younger generation, then the older one as the curiosity to know the opposite sex, is at its highest during the teen-age.
The curiosity goes down as the individuals get mature and have access to more real relationships rather than 2-D screens.
It would be better to totally disallow viewing of pornographic material at any age. Since it does not promote any kind of mental or creative development of the mind.

Well, most sites say you have to be 18, at least in the U.S.. But that is probably to protect the sites from laws governing them.
Not sure if there are any laws specifically targeting minors for viewing porn on their own.
If there are, they would not be adhered to anyway, and I have never heard of a minor being prosecuted for viewing porn, which would be a little ridiculous since next to impossible to monitor.
I'm not going to try to BS you or preach to you like some are, and or comment on whether it should or should not be done.
What is interesting is that countries with historically a higher availability of porn (Netherlands, Sweden) have fewer sex crimes. And Japan who is big into the rape fantasy porn has the lowest sex crime rate in the industrialized world.
Wikipedia has an interesting post on porn in general, which is interesting, and comments on several different aspects.
So, my answer is that I really don't know. Ha.
But frankly, probably not that of a big deal, unless someone makes it into a big deal.

No, that isn't unlawful. The regulations approximately this are written any opposite direction around. that's unlawful to knowingly furnish porn to guy or woman under 18, (with some exceptions), besides the fact that if it is not unlawful for the minor to view or posses it. needless to say, there is not any rather functional way for an internet site to envision your age, so the main suitable they are in a position to do is say "once you're under 18, go away". needless to say it rather is merely approximately thoroughly ineffective, yet a minimum of they are in a position to declare with a on the instant face that they did no longer supply any porn to minors on purpose, the youngsters have been informed to pass away in spite of everything. in addition, there's a regulation against gathering any very own suggestion from little ones under 13. the standards are rather particularly strict, so maximum web content (which incorporate this one) cope with it by telling human beings under 13 to no longer sign up in any respect, even although, as quickly as returned they are in a position to't do something to dodge it.

Well the technical legality will depend on your location.
The practical legality will depend on if your parents catch you or not --- AND whether they do anything about it.
All of my boys had porn of some sort or another starting at around age 12. I just ignored it.

To view it? As soon as you can see. To legally view it? I guess it would depend on the country, but probably 18 in the U.S.

My son started when he was 5. He found some books along the road side. You should have seen his face when he let it slip and even more when I did nothing. Boys will be boys.
