I am against it.

I believe in mircales and even if the person is on their death bed God works in mysterious ways sometimes and there is a chance that the person could make it through and live. God is the only one with the right to end someones life not another person. I mean even if the chance of a miracle and the person living is small there is still a chance and if you pull the plug than you'll never know if that person would of had that miracle of living or not.

I fully endorse your views that the rights to end any life is with Him only and also that He is powerful enough to revive any dead being. Please read the book 'life after life' by Arnold Raymond Jr. wherein he has interviewed more than 150 persons across the globe, who were declared clinically dead by renowned doctors but they came back to life.So nothing is impossible for the Almighty. There is an old saying in India, which when translated means 'keep hope till there is breath'.Considering all aspects, it is a blunder to pull the plug.

If the person on life-support will be dependent on somebody for their rest of their lives if they pull through, then I'm all for pulling the plug. That's no life to live, and I know that if I'm ever in that situation, unless I had a good chance of recovering, I would rather not be here.

I agree with you for the most part but I would not want to be on support my whole life or anything so id tell someone if it ever happend to give me at least one year and if I dont wake up on my own pull the plug.

I agree with what you say but it just isn't feasible financially for some people to keep a loved one on life support. If a person is brain dead for example, why keep them alive? They are already in another dimension and cannot benefit from enjoying life any longer nor can the people who love the victim enjoy this person any longer.

Up to the family. What is the point in sustaining life for someone in a persistant vegitative state? I agree with you about God, but at some point, if there is no prognosis of recovery, and the body has atrophied badly, why continue to make the family suffer with watching their loved one wither away. Closure is helpful.

Case by case, up to the family.

After a long time had passed I would pull it because they would only be suffering and sometimes that would be the wish of the person who's on the machine.

I don't agree with you. If all this modern equipment did not exist that person would've a peaceful death. Why deny them that and hold on to a soul-less body. It's never easy to let go but we all have to do it at some point.

I do not want to lie around in a vegetative state! Pull that plug on me. I don't want to be a hardship on my loved ones. Let me die so they may go on with their lives.
