Personally, I put the Eagles in the keep-the-CD-handy category. With as many CDs as I own, I've got 4 Eagles CDs that are always right out next to the player: Greatest Hits vols. 1 and 2, On The Border and One Of These Nights. It's funny, I have looked through many stacks of 4 or 5 CDs on somebody's shelf at their house, and that Greatest Hits from 1972-1975 is almost always in the stack, no matter how small the stack is.

As far as the category of music type, I file it under rock, but only because they spent most of their time on the rock charts. It's actually a mix that appeals to everyone as far as I'm concerned.

Well, considering that I have been a fan forever since the group formed, I have to say that then, I considered them Rock though today I guess some people are saying Country Rock but I consider them classic rock today. Honestly, I don't think I ever considered them country but by today's standards, I guess you would. Now I am wondering what I would consider Little RIver Band by todays' standards.

I would put in the classic rock section in my opinion even though some of their tunes made the country charts.

"California Rock" or "Country Rock".

Poco was doing their sound before the Eagles hit it. But Joe Walsh, Don Henley....too much game.
