I have a 3.65 GPA, top 20% of my class, I have taken 2 out of the 3 A.P. classes that my high school offers and have gotten A's in both. I'm in post secondary so I'm going to college as well as high school. I balance school and a job. I only have 2 extracurriculars because my school doesn't offer much except sports. I got a 24 ACT score. Miami is my dream school. Do you think I have any chance of getting in?

I looked at the profile of Miami on the College Board's website (www.collegeboard.com), and I would say you match it well. You wouldn't be the top student there, but neither are you in the bottom 1/4. I think you have a good chance of getting in.

The university of Miami has a 38% acceptance rate..which is pretty low. a 2.7 GPA and a 1550 on the SAT probably won't get you in. APs or not, colleges want to see you do well in those classes. B+ is usually preferable, if not A. Sorry to break it to you ): Try colleges with a 60% acceptance rate and up! Good luck!

You won't know unless you apply and it is starting to get late in the school year if you want to be accepted for the following year. Just get the information package and apply. All they can do is say no and your life isn't going to be over if they do. There are tons of colleges out there.

It will be close, your ACT is pretty low, your GPA is dece. But, yeah I would get your application in ASAP if you haven't already, otherwise you probably have no chance. I got in with a 29 and a 3.7, 2 ex. cirriculars
