What's so entertaining about seeing someone get tortured to death?

That's just what I've discussed with my mum yesterday... I agree, it made us not any different from animals...

Really, people getting entertained by shows like that needs to renew their mind... It's very unhealthy and it might endangered someone...
Of course, we do have sexual desires and so on, but don't go overboard...

What is your problem? if you don't approve of something then simply do not watch it!

This is a free country, we all watch movies where people get beat up, shot and killed in so many ways. You can even say the same thing about extreme porn videos where women and men are being tortured. Big deal it's just a movie. Or can we not tell the difference.??? Nobody is holding a gun to anyone's head and forcing them to participate in the making these videos just as much as anyone is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to watch it. Hey guess what, did you know that people engage in kinky bondage type sex all the time too, I suppose you don't approve of that either? I suppose they are all sick people as well?

Anyone ever thought maybe you're the one with the problem? it's just a fantasy, and some people are too immature to tell the difference. But what's the difference between enjoying someone being shot in head in a movie or stabbed to death as to someone being tortured as you put it? when think about it, it's all guilty pleasure no matter how you look at it. I suppose for some people it's more of a release for them.

It's people like you who want to control and censor the world, there's a lot of things I don't like but I turn my head to it everyday and I do not inflict my view points upon people simply because I disapprove of their right to freedom of expression.

I hate to sound harsh but people like you need to stop whinnying and crying about "torture porn", simply because you can't stomach it.

I think as a society we have seen so much violence especially in video games that it takes a very violent film to scare people with. The save your self movies like saw, are popular because we can imagine that happening with all the craziness today. For adults it's entertainment but I'm not so sure with children. We've all seen the extreme back yard wrestling videos of teen age boys smacking each other with chairs, jumping from the roof of a house and landing on an idiot kid. Those are the scary ones who believe that the "wrestling" shows are real and you can do these "tricks "and not hurt anybody badly.

When I was younger, I had fun watching vampires, Frankenstein etc. but it seemed so far from reality that I didn't connect it with any actual human suffering.

Now that has all changed. I cannot, any longer, watch anything with violence. I don't even watch the news any more.

I guess it's "anything for a buck, anything for a rating" nowadays. Even the "funniest" video type shows depict stuff that is distasteful to me.

Our moral leaders, be they in politics, hollywood, sports are disconnected IDIOTS period. Clockwork Orange, here we come...............

i hate hostel but saw is good with the exception of saw 3 every saw movie has a great twist in it that is why i watch them

I know what you mean! They need to make more relaxing and funny movies. Not violent and scary movies. Some kids have dreams all night because scary movies occur! Stop.

I so agree! I much prefer psychological horror movies like the shining. I really don't see the attraction of all that blood and gore

I love it kill them all. SAW 1,2,3 was good I'm waiting Saw 4 will be out on DVD here in the morning.
