I presume you are talking about RAM?
There is nothing on it because it is volatile memory, by that I mean it is emptied each time you shutdown your computer. When you took it out of the old computer it was completely empty.
When you put it in the new computer it filled up with random data, hence the name Random Access Memory. The data on a RAM module is constantly changing as it reads and writes to the hard drive or empties memory registers once they are no longer required.

hi ben
as previously mentioned system memory or ram dosent actually store data that can be viewed, its a temporary storage device that dosent store images and data for long term storage
you can tweak your memory,so for example you can get the best out of your memory by freeing up wasted ram,and this can be done with software such as "free ram xp" from http://www.yourwaresolutions.com/software.html#framxpro
this will free and optimize your computer's RAM (Random Access Memory), resulting in an increase in system performance and productivity. Automatically configures itself for ease of use and also features advanced options and customizability. FreeRAM XP Pro has been designed to be easy to use yet highly customizable by computer novices and experts alike.
to get a precise report of your p.c,s memory go to http://www.crucial.com/,and run the online memory tool, this will give you a scan and report on the exact memory you are running on your p.c,a excellent tool
any problems let me know
good luck mate !

Huh? What's on the memory? If you are talking about "stored" information, the only information that will be stored is static and very little like the chips module size, max bandwidth, manufacturer & part number.
Other than that nothing is stored on it.
To look at that info use CPU-Z

There is nothing on that stick of ram. RAM does not store data like a hard drive.

Doesn't quite work that way. Information is saved to your harddrive, not your ram memory 'sticks'.
