I have a girlfriend i've known for 10 years, I wouldn't say dating because we've been in different countries. I love her. Like it's been said (there's nothing as constant as changes) which simply denotes the love isn't there any more because of a heartbreak I suffered through her. It's just as if she's been pushing me to marry her, so not left with no other option, I see myself getting married to her in the future.

Absolutely NOT possible to spend the rest of your life with someone you don't love! You can't already answer that question? If you marry someone you don't love, you will both be miserable and then the person you do fall in love with will appear. That's when the cheating will begin and then there's the divorce! Oh, but wait now you have 2 kids. Now those poor innocent children grow up in a mess! That's what is ruining this stupid world right now.

Is that the way you want to live for the rest of your life? Now you answer the question.

Azur, people who made a commitment do indeed stay together for whole lifetimes, even though the love is gone. Before the rise of divorce in many countries, that was the norm in relationships gone bad or having lost their fire.

However, you're not yet legally or morally committed to this woman. If you are not 100% certain that marrying her would be the very best choice for you, then you shouldn't do it. Better to hurt and upset her, and to face the possibility that you'll be alone rather than a husband, than to marry someone because she's pressing you to do so.

It sounds like you and she need to have a serious talk and very probably break up, or at least scale back your mutual expectations to allow you both to meet other people who might make better partners for life.

You have conflicting feelings. You say you love her; then you say the love isn't there any more. No one can force you to marry them. Tell her it's over. Then move on.

Do not marry someone you don't love. You do have that option. if you go ahead and marry her out of guilt then will regret it.
