check out fetal alchohol syndrome.
im not saying your baby will be affected but if you insist on drinking 3 glass's of wine then you should wait until you are passed 35weeks because its only at that point that your baby has completely stopped developing and all the organs are fully formed etc.
Drinking in the first trimester is seriously dangerous as it is the time when your baby is doing the most developing so it can be potentially harmfull
Hopefully though if this was just a one off then your baby more than likely will not have been affected, but now you know please dont do it again.

You drank too much wine just inside your 2nd trimester. Luckily you have moved out of the most dangerous part of your pregnancy for fetal alcohol affects and fetal alcohol syndrome - but I think if you can drink 3 glasses of wine in one sitting you've done this before. The worst thing to be doing is binge drinking, it would have have been worse to drink spirits, then beer then wine - and it would have been worse still to drink when you conceive or in the first month or so. But, in my opinion if this is how you behave you're going to have a child who is skinny, has too much space between the eyes, small eyes, small and smooth brain, health issues and retardation.
You'd have been better off and hurt your baby less if you had smoked meth (not that I'd advocate that). Alcohol has some of the most teratogenic properties of all the things that we commonly consume, and you felt free in consuming it.

The stress that you have probably experienced reading some of these responses is probably more dangerous than three glasses of wine. I am sure as long as you don't do it again, your baby will be just fine. More importantly, look at why you drank the wine; were you scared, lonely, just wanted to let loose, etc... Explore why you needed to indulge because that seems to be a more important route to take.

It's doubtful that there's been any harm, but the chance is not "zero" and not ignorable.
You obviously know the risk and don't need a lecture, but you're not going to know if this episode in the most critical developmental stage has had an effect on your fetus. In the still unlikely and unfortunate event that your baby is born with problems, it is also almost impossible to trace it back to this specific instance.
I wish you and your baby the best, and I hope you will be more careful throughout the rest of your term.

Who knows, there is no way to tell for sure if it had an effect or not at this point.
If you continue drinking alcohol there is a possibility your baby could develop fetal alcohol syndrome - see link below. If you avoid alcohol, this is one less thing to worry about.
As you are obviously concerned, why drink wine in the first place? Surely you can switch to non-alcoholic alternatives for the duration of your pregnancy?

Doctors say not to drink at all when you are pregnant. If you only had 3 glasses it most likley will not affect the baby at all. Many women drink heavily before they even know that they are pregnant and their babys come out fine. I wouldnt worry about it. Just dont go drinking every day. I am almost 5 months and I drank before I knew and the doctor says the baby is fine.

Don't listen to people scaremongering. You'll be fine and so will baby as long as you don't do it all the time. Drink plenty of water too to flush the system. We're not allowed to breath these days!! Walking down a busy street is probably as bad if not worse. Good Luck

Your baby should be okay but there's always that slim chance. When most people admit to drinking or smoking during pregnancy they usually downplay it a little. About 3 glasses, could be more. To make sure your baby is ok don't drink at all that way no-one is at risk.

Okay..Now that we have gotten all the overly zealous out of the way, your baby is probably fine...I would not have that much again though..One glass every now and then should be fine..It's when it's constant and alot...If you had one drink a week, not too strong, every doc I have ever asked said that nothing would happen..and I have asked alot of docs..

I dont really know how it will affect your child, there is a certain amount of alcohol you can drink whilst pregnant. but I wouldnt even take the chance if I was you because you just dont know what affect it can have on your baby. I do not drink alcohol and am 12 weeks pregnant, I wouldnt put my child at risk of anything, so please take some advice and try not to drink anymore. good luck xx
