Wow...if I remember correctly...this was a long time ago....the first vinyl I bought with my own allowance money when I was a kid was a Rolling Stones LP.
The first CD I bought, in 1987 or 1988, was probably Chuck Berry's greatest hits. It had like 26 songs on it! CDs are not made with that many songs today, are they, lol.....I still have it actually....20 years later that CD is still sitting on my CD rack!

My dad bought me a kids songs record when I was young. I had bought tape cassettes before But the first CD I bought was "All for One" in the early to mid 90's

My first vinyl was Shaun Cassidy's record -- I can't remember the name of the album but it had the song "Hey Deanie" on it. I took it for show-and-tell day once in kindergarten or first grade. A proud moment for me..... :)
