okayy, so i got a bird shed built, how do i then get a fence round it? i have all the material but i dont know how to get one.

i have been talking to a few girls every day and give them presents every day, yet they're hearts havent changed colour at all yet, they're purple still.
how do i get them to change? :) and how long will it take? thanks.

In order:
To build a fence, put the materiel in your rucksack. If you have a shed for that material, talk to it and you'll pull 99 pieces out. After that just throw the material onto the ground. That's all there is to it. Note that wood and stone can break (and fodder will) but broken fences still act as fences. Hit the piece with the hammer to get rid of it if you prefer a nice looking fence. To return the material to the shed, throw it back in like you would for shipping things.
Heart levels occur every 10,000 points I think. Heart events give a good boost, as do good gifts on her birthday, but usually 500 a day is the best you can do if you use the best gift. You can romance more than one girl at a time, and in fact need to, the girl at the mine entrance unlocks the hot springs at her blue heart level, and a LOT of sprites are connected to that.

Well I only know answers to the girl problem since I am a girl.
First of all if they don't like you that much go find another girl.
Second of all give them time that might me slow. I would give two months.
Third of all you are only supposed to have one girl for a Friend or else she will get jealous of the other girls. So, pick your favorite girl.
And be yourself!!!
