Make be he has some kind of disorder or something. I understand that he wants his wife to be perfect but he taking it overboard. May she needs to start doing him the same way he does her, He'll stop all of that sniffing and pointing out thing that all humans have. For example start pointing at his nose hair and tell him how you dont like or tell him his eyelashes are to long and he looks like a girl and tell him to cut them, after that maybe he'll leave her alone.

OMG, if this is for real, the guy has some issues. I'd dump his @ss like a bad habit. The weirdo needs to be on meds to control his OCD, obsessive compulsive disorders.
Not to mention, if he sniffed me all over he just might get one in the face....lol.
Then again, if she likes this sort of attention from him...it could be a turn on for her.

What a nut case, have her leave him!!! Why in the world is she subjecting herself to this??
Straight up, she should leave him, he does not trust her, he is checking to see if she is cheating on him, that is where the smelling is coming from and the sweat and the ingrown hairs, People sweat all the time, but he has some serious trust issues here, and if she is sweating, and he is smelling and checking her body, he does not trust her, he wants to see her clean and dry, that way, he knows she is not cheating on him in his own warped mind!

Yes it IS an obsession. He has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, (OCD) . He needs to sniff her because he feels compelled to. She should let herself go for one weekend, no bathing, shaving, underarm deodorant, perfume etc. And then record his comments on a digital voice recorder without him knowing. After the weekend, play these comments back to him. If he doesn`t get the message , he needs help.

This guy sounds like a major jerk. He's definitely being over obsessive and controlling and that's not fair for your friend. He could seriously damage her self- esteem over something completely normal and human! Have her tell him how unfond of HIS body hair SHE is and she'll wax compulsively if he does too--every inch!

And my husband says I have a problem that I need to get over?!
I just want mine to take a shower every couple or few days, shave before he kisses me so I don't get facial irritation, wash his hands after touching dirty things especially before he *plays* with me or fixes me something to eat or drink, and not step his dirty shoes (where he works human and animal wastes and who hasn't had gum on their shoes or stepped on something nasty) on my carpet cleaned carpet. I also tell my husband if I can see a big booger hanging out his nose or run my hands on his bumps and scrapes.
Your friend and her husband need help. She needs help to be able to deal with him doing these things and to try to get him to come to counseling or an evaluation with her so that he can realize he is being excessive and extreme.
And like someone else mentioned, your friend needs to go without cleaning herself a while and tape him so he can hear how he acts. When my husband does not take care of himself, I just ignore him or tell him he smells like he needs a shower or to shave and wash his dirty hands (before he gets it on with me), And better yet are those times I choose to ignore it (as long as he keeps the cleaned floor clean) and not mess with him because he is probably very tired.

It sounds a little to controlling. If I was her I would take him to see a doctor about OCD, but if that won't happen she should try talking to him about it. No one can or should have to be perfect all the time, and eventually it'll make any person crazy.

He may have Obsessive-Compusive Disorder (ocd) or anal retentive.
He has some unresolved issues, of some sort, that he may be acting out...or he maybe projecting
his own feelings of inadequacy to his wife.
Whatever the situation, he needs help.
Or your friend needs a divorce.
Good luck. Keep me posted.

He needs a kick on the butt. He is treating his wife like a property for his pleasure only. He has no consideration of her feelings. She should tell him to mind his own business and look after his body and leave her alone to take care of hers.
