They are balls of gas, burning billions of miles away m'am....fire has to have something to make it burn....look it up.

To me while I know what they are....I can't help but look in wonder, I feel all emotional when I look into the night sky.

The fact that we know what they're made of doesn't change that we don't know why they're there or why we're here; are there others looking at us thinking the same things or are we simply alone, will the universe carry on expanding for ever or will it collapse back in on itself. The more science reveals to us the more incredible the whole thing seems to be. I don't tend to beleive in "God" but i do accept that there might be something and the ultimate goal of the Human race is learn everything there is to know about everything there has, is or will ever be.

In conclusion, looking at the stars just makes me think how f***ing amazing it all is.

I still look at the stars and wonder if there is someone looking back and me and thinking the same thing that I am. Or even sometimes if that would not be a better place to be that here on earth where is so much anger, hate, and destruction.

First of all they're not balls of gas, they'r balls of fire.
Yes I still wonder how big the universe is, I mean a trillion stars or more in just 1 galaxy, our galaxy.
And a trillion galaxies in the universe.
And us, we only live in a tiny planet called Earth among more than a billion planets.
And now wonder...how big is the Universe???
Greater than our minds can go.

I love the stars! I gaze up at them as often as I can. I try to step outside for a bit by myself before I go to bed at night. I look up at the beautiful stars and pray to God. All the things I can't fix or all the people that I'm thinking of that day, I just remember that we are all under these same gorgeous romantic stars... and maybe they are looking up at the stars at that same time.

Even though I know what stars are I still gaze at them time to time, even making a wish, I find it relaxing just like finding sculptures in the clouds on a warm summer day.

I think it’s just part of the human nature to believe in something more then just the scientific explanations.

Just the fact that they are balls of gas is a wonder. But it is not just that, it's what could be around them that we don't see. What are there color or size close up. Do they still even exist? What world's are just between them? AAHHHHH the stars and the wonder will never go away!

I sometimes look up at the stars and wonder "did I drink to much again - Surely being flat on my back in the gutter is not a good sign?"

I could stand there for hours and watch them, wondering if each one has its own solar system, watching the satellites watching them fly past at thousands of miles per hour, catching the sight of a comet for a brief second. The most amazing thing i've ever seen bar nothing.

When I was younger... I looked up at the stars and wondered what wonderful things might exist out there...

Now... I just look up and wonder when they're going to get screwed up and try to kill me like everything else... LOL
