Wasps Nests In Lofts

Yes you can get it now. But to prevent them from re-building next spring / summer. Heres a recipe a friend gave me and it WORKS WONDERS.

1 cup water
1/4 cup sugar ( melted in water )
2 tbsp of ( LEMON dish liquid ) HAS TO BE LEMON

disolve sugar in water, add dish liquid stir up.

Sit close to where you see the wasp. They will drink it and take it back to the nest. What happens is: The soap in the mixture turns hard inside them after they drink it and it kills them.
I"v used this for several years now. WORKS WONDERS.
Good Luck

When you say dormant do you mean the wasps are in and sluggish rather than it being a dead nest?...

I have one too! I bought some spray foam. I would be interested in answers to this too. Is this the best time to use it?

my husband has just removed 4 large wasp nests from our loft. He sprayed them with foam which disintegrated the nests. Hopefully no more wasps.

I would still get an expert in just to be safe. They will also advise you on where they are entering your loft space, and how to stop it

I agree with all, remove it. A word of warning, if you don't you will be plagued next spring, you will find that the filter down and end up in the bathroom bedroom and what have you and really become a pest.
