Deadly if his suit springs a leak

Astronauts are always facing a risc when they do a spacewalk, but it's not to great. the suit has safety features that make a leak hard to appear, plus the suit doesn't drain instantly through a small leak, giving the astronaut time to get back in the ship. The teather might brake, but that's not such a big problem, considering that the shuttle is very maneuvrable it can easily go and fetch them. Some spacewalk are even done by moving the shuttle insted of the astronaut. So, exept if the leak is big or if the teather brakes and you fall towards the Earth, the riscs are pretty small. And regarding micro-meteorites, the chance of being hit by one in space is smaller than being struck by lightning here on earth at any given time. I honestly think running a red light involves more riscs than a spacewalk, but that's just me.

the most dangerous thing in a spacewalk, I think, would be the astronaut getting euphoric about being there....

danger usually comes from the unexpected... like this rip they're going to repair?...sharp, torn metallic thing...... not a good thing to be monkeying around with when you're wearing an inflated suit!!!!....or dropping a tool?... who's gonna chase it to retrieve it?....there are myriad ways a person could be 'lost ' up there... would YOU like to be out there?.... would you feel totally safe?....

Also, if the tether somehow because disconnected, there is no way to retrieve the astronaut. I think micro-meteors are a minor concern too.
