My son is handicapped, he has autism and down syndrome and sometimes I feel like I am fighting for the cause. I get hurt when I see people poke fun at him. He does not talk and they often hurt him and he comes home and is so frustrated that he will hit himself or scratch his arms or his face he is lonely and no one will be his friend. He did have one friend once from 8th grade to the 9th but when they went to 10th grade the other boy decided he did not want to hang out with a handicapped boy and Buddy still asks about Derrik all the time he misses him so much!

The mormon faith teaches its followers to no longer take drugs or drink alcohol (this incorporates a ban on caffeine and nicotine as nicely). on an identical time as this is not inevitably a foul element - it does tend to have the surprising opposite of the meant effect. i became raised mormon, and on an identical time as I had fantastically plenty written it (and all different faith) off as superstitious nonsense via the time i became 8 or 9 (much less via the time i became a teenager) I watched it generate dozens of 'rebellious' young toddlers. needless to say a number of the blame is going to their mom and dad - in spite of the undeniable fact that I even have self assurance that if their mom and dad hadn't have been so confident that forcing their toddlers into the mormon existence type and sheltering them from each and every of the 'evils' of the international became the right element to do, then they'd have spent greater time actual paying interest to what their toddlers have been actual as much as. this is not totally the church homes fault - and that i think of they even have self assurance that they are attempting to do solid, yet out of the acquaintances and acquaintances that I actual have watched be destroyed via drugs/alcohol/melancholy - none looked as though it may burn out fairly so fantastically as a results of fact people who were fed the mormon doctrine considering they have been youthful.

people like that about me. I'm not just another clone of a girl gossiping and talking about fashion and putting on shiny lip gloss. I've been compliment on my make-up when I'm not wearing any, so I never do. I yell and scream and shout about how stupid our school system is, and I don't think dissecting a frog is gross. And even though I don't fit into the girly group, I'm not a nerd, or goth, or "emo", or a loner sitting by myself. I just don't give a damn what anyone thinks, even though they seem to think cool things.
