because people like that are trying to get the most they can out of those who they dislike, or barely want to talk to, because they know they can get it from you. GREED is a NEED for the WEEK minded.

If we do keep them as our friends, then they are not our friends. What kind of friend would do all those things. True friends would not care about presents but about you. They should act more like a friend and less like a jerk. Sounds to me they are using you just to get gifts and they shouldn't be your friend at all or any person's friend for that matter. Those people are not friends, they are just MEAN people. And they don't deserve to be anybodies friend.

They are not friends, just someone that you know. Do not feel obligated to go to any thing, Say you already have plans. They could be sitting and watching an old movie that you love, but they are your plans. We don't owe an explanation to anyone for our time.

It is because we think we have no other potential friends around us and we fear solitude. People of such character can never be considered friends. It'd be a great injustice to call them such.

sounds pretty desperate... I dont keep friends around like that. I always answer the phone but my availability for anything becomes very very slim!

we call them opportunists or time servers!
they are just good time buddies!just treat them as such,
(some people take many months or years to make friends ~ I 'd~~treat every one as a potential long term future friend ~( give every one a chance)~these may be the best type to have ------>>>you see!!)
~but keep them @ arms length! till then!

basically they are not your true friends at all and they are just using you for their own use and you dont really need to put up with any of that so just forget about them and go out and find some true friends that would respect you and not just use you for there own needs and dont worry about them anymore
