It is quite annoying . I like it at night sometimes though.. not sure why. I can hear some thunder and rain right now. I'm in Sydney Australia .

I love storms! I am originally from Australia but now reside overseas. I miss the steamy summer days and evening storms. The smell of rain where I am from (Northern NSW) is amazing! And the air after a big storm or hailstorm is so fresh.........

I love to listen to rain hit the roof, but i don't like thunder and lightning, it just keeps me up.

I think lightning is beautiful. I love seeing it unless it's so close I think it might strike me or start a fire close to where I am. I think thunder rumbling at a distance is soothing but when it's loud enough to vibrate the building you're in, that's not so cool.

Don't like it because I'm afraid of the damage if it's a hailstorm.
I was home with my my small daughters when a hailstorm hit in the late 80's and one of the windows in their bedroom shattered leaving glass all over the bed. Thank goodness my daughter was up and in another room at the time.

I love thunder and lightning! Especially at night. It is actually quite soothing, to me.

I'm in Queensland, live near the beach, lots of storms here.
I like the thunder, and I hate the lightening :o(
Just glad I don't live in Darwin, they have one there most days during summer.. eeeek.

I hate thunder...can't stand it!! Sometimes I like to watch lightning if it is far away but when it is close I don't like it either. It's clear here in Utah

I hate them both especially when you just came back from school and trying to relax and watch tv and suddenly it makes a LOUD sound that annoys me and my friends
