Not knowing, and being afraid to recognize and acknowledge. We keep being told that all people are the same and to treat them the same. We aren't allowed to see individuality. That's what is shoved down our throats. The fact of the matter is that people ARE different. There are cultural differences, racial differences, geographical differences, biological differences, etc. That's what makes life so damned interesting. Not having to look at two different things and be forced to say they are the same, but being able to look at two different things and appreciating their differences.

You are putting it a bit incorrectly. The very word intercultural indicates a clash and the differences between the individuals is a contradiction that must be resolved between the two. For there to be a clash such as the one you are talking about really there must be an immature or subjectivity of on or both of the individuals for there to be an other than first degree transaction.
