Or is someone who actually deserves the award going to win? Please don't tell me that 15-18 pts/game and 10-12 assists/game are MVP numbers. The last MVP to score less than 20 ppg was Bill Walton in the 70s....

You guys are delusional; The MVP has been REDEFINED in order to justify Nash winning it. Nash is statistically the WORST MVP in the history of MVPs. The statistics speak for themselves. Not just scoring, even in assists and not to mention defense. Every PG or SG who is guarded by Nash has a field day.

No, i think it's time for Kobe Bryant to finally win a league MVP.'
Kobe just has way to much talent to of not have won one by now.
I think this is HIS year.
He's been top 3 and top 2 for the MVP the last 7 years??
Cmon.

In 2004, the Suns were 29-53 and finished 6th in the Pacific Division.
That team had Marion and Stoudemire (for 55 games).
After acquiring Nash, the Suns won 62 games in 2005 and went to the Western Conference finals (voting is, of course, completed prior to the start of the playoffs, so their advancement to the Conf finals did not figure into the voting).
In 2006, they again won the Pacific Division with a 54-28 record, Amare played only 3 games that year.
Nash deserved both MVP awards he received.
Marion's FG percentage has gone from 44% (2004, prior to Nash) to seasons of 48% 53% and 52%. It's not ONLY because Marion is getting better...Nash MADE him better.

The way I feel is simple. Every one here as valid points in different ways but lets get real it's November!! Who really knows who will get MVP theres no way anyone can say yes or no when it comes to Nash winning MVP or any one for that matter, the season just begun. You should hold on to this thought and ask again sometime next year after the all star break.

Statistics are a big part of the MVP award.... but Nash is the most VALUABLE player to have on a team.

well quite frankly, youve misunderstood the MVP award. its not about who makes the most shots, rebounds or assists, (otherwise kobe bryant or shawn marion would get it year after year), its given to the one player who adds the most value to his team, establishing it as a contender. have you seen the suns play a game with nash injured? they pretty much self-destruct. steve gets the flow of their system going, though he may not post the best numbers. thats what an MVP is all about.

HE DESERVES ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!!
as a spurs fan
steve nash is a very unselfish player
because he has like 11 ast per game
if he doesn't pass the ball much he could of averaged 30 points
look at jason kidd he is also an unselfish player
but he is not good at shooting that why he averages like 10 points
but nash is a very good shooter he has 18 points per game

stop showing your ignorance. he shot % better then Kobe, had more blocks then Kobe(yes, and Kobe is taller) and he had almost same rebounds. and helped his team. why do you need 20 points, if you can help your team win

that would put him among the elites of the game (i.e. Magic, Bird, Jordan). i don't think the media is ready to do that. and its the media who votes.
